Man, love you so much, Ahmed. Too much negativity in the world, and not enough energy from all of us to share the love and appreciation we have for one another. Just yesterday was blessed to join a friend in watching the Star Wars 25th Anniversary, theatrical re-release for Episode 1. In honesty as I told my coworker today, the true main (almost only?..) several times the theater collectively burst out in laughter and joy, was practically from ALL the moments in which Jar Jar Binks was wonderfully in dialogue. Thank you for everything, and truly amazing & impactful to hear your story on this.

They put that boy in a detention center just because they didn't have another place for him? That's so cruel, I can't even wrap my head around it. How did all those foster homes manage to fail him? There's so much about this story that breaks my heart.

I bought the 3 disks that began with Jar Jar Binks, and I loved the character. However, I read an article this morning that surprised me: the character was hated. If I never felt this way means there are millions of fans worldwide who respect Ahmed Best, and love Jar Jar Binks.

I don’t understand why people were so mean to Ahmed. I mean Jar Jar unfortunately didn’t have enough to do in the movie I think, but that has absolutely nothing to do with his performance. He did a very good job as a VA and did the best he could with the lines he had. I think Jar Jar could have had more to do in the movie, it’s a shame that he was made more like a supporting character. Because the passion and the love Ahmed showed in his VA-work could have really swept people away. I wish that we would see more of that character and other aspects. A lot of people are absolutely ruthless. They don’t really see that there’s a person with real feelings that they come for. Ahmed I hope you know that there are people out there who appreciate your passionate VA-work. It takes a lot of skill and it’s not a lot of people who are able to do it.

After rewatching Episode 1 in theatres it really confirms the fact that I still don't understand the hate for Jar Jar, he was funny. And it really shocks me that fans can become so toxic at times that they bully a guy for playing a character that they don't like and make him feel suicidal, its just sick. You have the right to dislike a character but you don't have the right to turn it into something toxic.

So where’s all the people who hated on Jar Jar now? It’s only supporters right now.

I'm sorry glad he didn't make that decision. People can be so unnecessarily hateful. I actually liked Jar Jar Binks and he was definitely a memorable character. I am glad this beautiful man is still with us.
